Step away from the salt. Ninety percent of Americans eat too much sodium on a daily basis. To cut back, nix processed food from your diet.

Think you’re not eating a lot of salt? You might want to reassess. A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that 90 percent of Americans are getting too much salt every day. It also found that just 10 types of food account for 44 percent of our salt consumption. These include bread and rolls; cold cuts and cured meats; pizza; fresh and processed poultry; soups; burgers and sandwiches; cheese; pasta dishes; meat dishes; and snacks like chips, crackers and popcorn. To reduce your salt intake, cut back on these common culprits, nearly all of which are processed foods. Switching to fresh, homemade dishes is the easiest way to slash sodium consumption.

That's it for now, until next time, good luck with your training and remember, if you have a question, log on to the Virtual Trainer Expert Forum and have your question answered by a panel of experts. So I agree with keeping your salt intake under control, but it kind of contradicts another article you guys had in the past, http://www.racerxvt.com/article/salt-and-the-motocross-athlete
