In April of this year, one week after clinching his second Supercross championship, reigning AMA Supercross and Motocross champion Ryan Villopoto suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee, presumably ending his 2012 season. However, only six months post reconstructive surgery "RV2" has announced his plan to return to racing on October, 20, 2012, and defend his title at the richest payday in Supercross—the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas.

In this 3-part series, Specialized follows Ryan through the summer to track his recovery.

In Episode 1, we meet Aldon Baker, trainer to some of the greatest stars in the sport, and get a peek at what happened on that April night. And we find out what role BodyGeometry Fit and cycling play in helping with Ryan's recovery.

In Episode 2 Ryan and Aldon talk about the benefits of cycling, over high-impact cardio workouts, for supercross and motocross riders, and Ryan gets cleared to return to the moto and get back to work with the rest of the team.

In Episode 3 Ryan continues practice on the moto at his Florida track.

Very interesting and revealing insights into one of the most talented personalities in the sport of Motocross/Supercross. Ryan's dedication, and tenacity to place himself at the pinnacle of his chosen sport should be required viewing/reading for anyone who seriously wants to be the best they can be, and if that just happens to be Motocross, even better.
Thanks for sharing this intimate perspective on one of the most respected ambassadors to the sport of Motocross/Supercross.
All the best to you in 2013 and beyond, Ryan.
