The heat of the weekend and two awesome bike rides on Sunday spell a complete recovery day for me. Don't forget to recover early in the week for peak performance on the weekend.

Most of the country has been hit with a moderate to high heat wave. I love the heat and it truly motivates me to train, but no matter how motivated you are, recovery needs to be part of the equation. On Sunday, I completed 2 hours on my mountain bike and then hit the road bike for 15 miles. Legs are shredded today so I'm taking a complete day off to rest and re-hydrate.
