Hey any of you :D
I just recently got on here and started checking this out. Let me tell you my story.
Ive been Pro since the end of '03 and have privateer'd the Canadian Nationals in and out over these years and race the NESC series up here in New England which most of you probably know about..Treadwell, Dowd, Johnson, Henry, all come from our series. I race the 125 and 250 Expert/Pro classes and we have four 20+2's. I have been training pretty hard since I was just onto big bikes (13 or 14). When I turned Pro I bumped it up obviously and trained pretty hard and for the MOST PART wouldnt get tired...I was on 250F and 450s for most of those years...But I always wanted to be able to bump my pace up for longer to help get me faster. Recently, last year, I went back to 2 strokes because as most of you probably know, in series like the NESC, you can run 2 stroke 250s in with 250Fs. You can also ride them in the 450 class. So Ive got some 2 strokes and ride those in both classes to cut cost until the economy comes back a bit then I'll pick up a 450 again. Anyways, this year Ive been having a hard time with my upper arms getting tired. Its really ruining my motos. Im fine in my first moto, and in the last three I get tired once the halfway comes out and just drop off the pace..Obviously very frustrating. As far as cardio, I do mostly running, a lot of interval training because it seems to work for me the best...I dont really ever get out of breath, thats not an issue. But my upper arms and shoulders, back of neck also, just get beat...Completely dead tired. To the point where Im just cruising at like 80%...My lap times go from say a 1:58 to a 2:02....Obviously not good. I was always known for being in really good shape but am having a lot of problems this year. I do do weights...And its the same routine Ive done for most of these Pro years...Mostly stuff like rowing (upright row, seated row, a little benching, stuff like that) And I feel its just not working anymore...Maybe the fact Im 25 and my body is just starting to change a bit? But Im wondering if one of you guys can help me out and put me on a little program. Talk through emails, set me up. Im running a low dollar life like every privateer so getting a personal trainer is out of the option...Plus I work until 5 every day..Everything is done after that..Are any of you interested in doing this? I will pay...Just not looking for big bills. As I said, Im just looking for some stuff like emailing back and forth, maybe talking on the phone, etc.. I need help!
Let me know guys...Itd be great to have some help..My email is racemx51@yahoo.com if your looking to talk to me directly from here...Or you can respond on here and we can get set up..
Thanks!
Ryan Mathieu

This may sound super simple but if everything else stayed the same and the only thing that changed is the two stroke, then you first need to look at the way you are riding those motors, especially the turn exit. This is similar to a 85 rider moving to big bike 4 strokes and having issues, just the other way around. It could be something as easy as the more violent acceleration/use of legs and core to stay ahead of the bike; bike is lighter therefore you tend to steer it with your upper body more or manhandle it more, etc.

If you have been doing the same thing over and over, your body could also be reaching a plateau and just "going stale."

I have several online coaching programs available, just look at my site at www.coachseiji.com and contact me via email seiji@coachseiji.com if you are interested.
