How old are you?

I remember when I was in high school and college all I did was eat. I was smart enough to try and eat healthy but I remember being starving all the damn time. High school was brutal. I could barely make it through two classes without getting a headache from being so hungry. Our bodies are pretty darn smart. When we are hungry our stomachs hurt so we will eat. Imagine not having that mechanism? It would be the same as not feeling pain. We would end up killing ourselves. So if you are training hard, eat, eat, eat. Just be smart and make good healthy choices. The nutrition section of the site is full of articles on eating. But it's pretty simple. You know when you are eating healthy and when something is junk. Good luck and leave some for me....I'm feeling hungry.

5'10" and 145. You remind me of me when I was in high school. I didn't race much in high school, I was more into stick and ball sports. I remember lifting weights like a madman and eating constantly and I never gained a pound. I went to college and went from 165 as a senior in high school to 215 s a Sophomore in College. Not fat at all, but a lot of muscle. Not the right thing for MX, but I guess my point is you are a pretty lean guy. If I were your trainer, my number one goal would be to put some muscle on you. At least get you up in the 160's. And eating is away to put on some muscle (with proper training of course).
