Hey guys, I'm getting ready to start the 19 week training program and have a couple of questions.

1. Used the program last year and have been training moderately recently (2-3 time per week). Do I need to start from the beginning again this year or pick up at a certain week?

2. I have access to a nice cross country running/cycling track that I would like to use. Should I change any of the cardio running intervals based on this terrain? It's a little more than a "gently rolling" course.

3. I would like to incorporate mountain biking into the program. How does this compare to the cycling recommended in the program? How should I change it if needed?

Thanks for this great service!!

1. You can start skip the AA phase and start in on the MT.
2. All of the cardio is heart rate based so once you have you zones for the prescribed activity, you should be good to go. Remember that your HR training zones will be different for each cardio activity. So if you want to use cross country running and cycling, you will have to do a Lactate Threshold test for each.
3. MTB is fine to use. you will have to complete a lactate threshold test for MTB'ing to set your zones for that as well.

Of course, you can always use the Rating of Perceived exertion in place of a HR monitor. RPE is discussed in the program. Google it from within the site.

Thanks for doing the program again and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Tim. I've been rereading the articles to refresh my memory. Thanks again for the help.
