Polar or Garmin but I find it hard to believe that all mid-range heart rate monitors don't have an average function.

All righty tim tx,tommorow is my test, since i'm running outside in very cold temperature is it going to altered my results? I know for sure that it's easier for me to run during winter time as i don't get as hot and it seems like there is more oxygen in cold air.

Every thing affects your results. Environment, sleep, food, etc. That is why we test and retest so often.

Your average heart rate or LTHR was 177 BPM, so your zones are:

Zone 1 would be anything less than 147 BPM (83% of LTHR or 177 x 0.83 = 147)
Zone 2 would be 148 to 158 BPM (83-89% of LTHR)
Zone 3 would be 159 to 165 BPM (89 - 93% LTHR)
Zone 4 would be 166 to 177 BPM (93 - 100% LTHR)
Zone 5 is anything above 178 BPM (Greater than 100% LTHR

Your LTHR number by itself is totally meaningless when it comes to determining what kind of shape you are in. You need to calculate work done at LTHR to determine what kind of shape you are in. Most people do not have power meters on their bikes so I don't even talk about it. You can look at the amount of work done on the rower though since it has a built in power meter. Since, in our case, the goal of the LTHR test is set training zones, I didn't go into the whole power thing. If you are training for motocross, the only thing that really matters is how you feel at the end of your race.

Robb Beams and Coach Seiji do online personal training programs. I normally stay away from that and try to focus on the site. Coach Seiji and I are working on a premium section of the website that will contain complete training programs for certain riding levels. Should be up an running in a month or so.
