Whats up,
To get to the point, I want to have more stamina for MX, so I've begun to train more than I ever have, in the last month or two. I am concerned about the amount of time my body has to recover, seeing as I will workout 2 times a days on my workout days.
Monday - Tues - Thurs - Friday: I hit the local Planet Fitness before work in the morning, mainly doing weights. I go to work and chill in my office until about 5pm. Around 6pm I head to my parents gym for more cardio intensive workouts such as C2 rowing, jump roping, and running. I also do a lot with body weight and also do a ton of balance ball workouts during this time. (Once I start riding, moto will take the place of my second workout of the day on days I can ride.)
Sundays: Right now to get my body used to working its ass off on sundays, I go nuts on the C2 around lunch time.
My concern, especially since I workout twice a day, is I'm not giving my body enough recovery time. I know rest is important when training. I'm a designer, so is sitting on my butt at work for 7-9 hours a day enough rest for what I'm doing? I also generally go to bed around 10pm and wake up at 5am to make the gym.
If it makes a difference, I've even changes my diet and everything, too. I eat 6- 8 meals a day, smaller portions, vitamin and protein rich food, no carbs after 8 and all that stuff.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!
