i'm getting back into racing and i'm serious about it. I'm goin to MMI in phoenix so i can be my own mechanic however when it comes to training i'm lost. First off i hired a trainer who has never trained a racer or raced himself and i'm thinking it was a mistake. I'm getting a 30 minute workout and yeah i'm tired for about 5 minutes but then i want more and i'm not happy. I have time to be in the gym for a couple hours a day and have no problem pushing myself to the point of almost puking. I broke my back in june last year and want to strengthen that as well. I'm 146 at 5' 9" tall and i'm wanting to know what's the best thing for me to do, fire the trainer and go at it on my own or keep the trainer.

Fire the trainer and hire Coach Seiji and one of his online programs. He is a great trainer and has great programs created specifically for motocross. Send him an email at seiji@coachseiji.com

Another option is to study the workouts presented on VT and put a program together for yourself.

Coach Seiji is presenting a 19-week online training program that we are presenting daily on the site, but that is designed specifically for the guy with limited time. One hour per day 5 days per week. Sounds like you have more time than that, so getting a program designed specifically for you from Coach Seiji would be perfect for you.
