There are several options, but the most accurate is using one of the Garmin systems that allows you to download your data and review on your computer. Though this doesn't provide you lap times on your pit board, it does provide you feedback relevant to each lap time, average heart rate, max heart rate, etc.

Do you guys feel the Garmin GPS watches are pretty accurate? How does it know where the start finish is? I think I'm ready to upgrade my program...

Accurate as in Heart Rate data, or as in which rut on the track I am in?

Well I guess accurate HR data would be good, but as in "lap times" was what I was thinking...

Heart rate data is 100% accurate. Not sure about lap times. Will have to let someone else comment on that.

OK, it sounded like Coach Robb had experience with the timing feature, hopefully he'll chime in. My other option is a Mychron Light TG. I picked up the unit for free but I just need a beacon...I like the idea of having the readout while I'm practicing. Thanks Tim!

Neat! Would really like to get my hands on the GET GPS timer from Pro Circuit, but $400 is out of my range...Do you still use the 405? Do you use it when you ride?

I do still have my 405 and yes I use it while riding. Only for HR data though.

Not concerned with timing data, or do you use something else for timing? Not really sure why I'm so fixated on quantifying my laps at the moment...

On another note, are you guys still working on a low cost online training program thru Virtual Trainer?
