Unfortunately I do not know any specifics about the Herbalife program. If it is working for you then, why question it. Don't fix it if it ain't broke! I have emailed Kim (The Dietician) to make sure she gives her two cents worth. Thanks and keep training!

Can you please clarify your question? I am not sure what you mean by "balanced and personalized meals"?

In form of "balanced and personalized meals" l mean that each other of us don"t have same needs for nutrients, like proteins... We are all individuals with different needs. Somebody has a lack of energy, somebody don"t, somebody has a better recuperation, somebody don"t....

With Herbalife l"ve got better results and l just want to share it with others. Also l"m interesed in Yours expert opinion, because l think that can help a lot of athletes!

Best regards from Croatia!

I am not familiar with Herbalife but it sounds to me like one of the many products on the market promising benefits if you follow their plan. I am not against any of these plans per say, but there are a bunch out there, each saying they are the best. Heck, even Lance Armstrong is endorsing a product called FRS. In my opinion I think each dietary supplement plan is up to the individual. Take MonaVie for example. I really like it as does Aldon Baker but Coach Seiji and Kim think its probably more snake oil than fact. I 100% believe in it; they do not. No worries though, each person has to find out what works for them and stick with it. I'm glad Herbalife is working for you!

I took a look at a few of the Herbalife products. I am not completely familiar with all but I do have a comment on these products as well as most similar products.

The very first thing you should look at is the ingredient list on any product of this sort. Ingredients are listed in the order they are contained in the product (by weight). At the top of the herbalife products I looked at were things such as Maltodextrin and oil. Maltodextrin is a starch and is absorbed very quickly into the body as glucose. In other words, it acts like a simple sugar when it is absorbed into the body. This is a desired action after a workout but pretty much an undesired action at other times. The second or third ingredient is oil, which wouldn't be my first choice as a drink! The list also includes many additives which serve a purpose but shouldn't be over-consumed.

You are always better off eating "real" food, but if you are going to consume products such as these you need to make a choice between what is convenient and what is the most nutritious. Real foods are always more nutritious but are not always as convenient. Therefore, these products can serve a purpose but in my opinion should only be used when absolutely necessary.

Perhaps making foods ahead and/or packing a cooler to take with you would make eating healthy more convenient?
