Just a little about myself. I'm 21 years old, 5'11, 175 lbs (slender/muscular build) and I've been out of competitive racing for about 6 years now, and I am looking to get back to it. I currently go to college in the fall and in the spring, and my summers are spent helping my dad out on the farm. I usually gain a lot of muscle over the summers as well as some stamina from throwing hay bales and picking up heavy equipment. I used to have a motocross track that was about 5 acres in size, where I was able to practice EVERYDAY, but now since I have left the sport my dad has leveled out all of my track and planted corn in its place (a sad moment in my life).
My goal is to incorporate my very much missed motocross lifestyle back into my life, and to be quick and competitive mentally and physically. Since I am a very valuable asset on the farm I want to train properly and do everything I can to ensure that reduce my chances of injury.
As I usually get a decent workout everyday over the summer (if it is a slow day I will freestyle lift weights in the barn). I was wondering what types of excercises should be incorporated? Most of what I do believe involves a lot of everything, since a regular day could be anything from wrenching on tractors, to throwing hay bales/logs, to driving a truck around and checking out crop levels (not exercise).
I believe it is a decent amount of excercise, but I am certainly nowhere near the physically fit as when I played travel hockey. I was wondering what times of the day I should incorporate these into my day? (early morning vs midday vs late at night). I plan to practice at my local track every Wednesday and race every Sunday. The rest of the days I will most likely be helping my dad out. If anybody has a more logical approach than throwing haybales and aimlessly lifting weights in the barn, let me know if you have any ideas (all ideas are welcome!)
Additional info: I have a 2001 RM 125, I'm even sure what classes I am available to race in anymore, since I left the sport riding RM85 in the 12-15.
Also, if anyone could provide examples on how they stay motivated on and off the track that would be great too (ex: do you watch videos, post pictures, etc.)

Well, for the types of exercises we recommend, the website is full of info. Check out the workouts section. Its broken down into pre, in, and off season workouts. I also post "Crossfit" style workouts every Sunday. So you can search the site and find those.
If you want a full program telling you exactly what to do, you have two options. One is to follow the 19-week free training plan we have on the site. The second is, very shortly we will be launching our premium based section of the website where we will offer all sorts of complete training plans to choose from. You get an email everyday telling you what to do.
For motivation, again, search the site for motivational articles. I know there are at least 3 or 4. Good luck and let me know if you have any more specific questions once you dive in. All your questions can be answered on the site. Its all there, you just have to be willing to put in the time to read and learn!
