Hello,
I am a 30yr old Hare Scrambles rider. I got a late start in this sport, as I started with motocross did some flattrack, and have been dabbling in this for the last few years with not so good results. I am an A level rider, but my fitness cannot back it up. I am 5'9 and weigh 226lbs. I know the answer to this is simple, hard work will take the pounds off and improve my fitness... I am not looking for a "magic bullet" but I would like some direction.
I have a very good selection of equipment in my home. I have a C2 model c, a trainer for my road bike, a bowflex, and a wide variety of freeweights.
I started doing the preseason workout listed in the "workout" section. I did the speed training and the interval weight training so far this week, and amazingly I already see some very small results. My question is; What is the best type of workout to do to drop some good weight (my goal is 185) as well as get my fitness to an A level so I can keep up my pace for 2+ hours. I dont need anything specific, just some direction of what I should gear my workout towards.
Thanks!
