I am 17 turning 18 at the end of January. I do not race right now but i will be next year. I will not be doing any riding until spring because i just sold my 98 cr125 so i can get a truck and a job to buy a brand new bike in the spring. I have been wanting to race for a long time now but couldn't because of certain situations. I am a little out of shape but i wanted to start training now. I was looking at the racer x virtual trainer and i found like 8 or some different training schedules and confused as to what to follow. I know there are off-season, pre-season, and in-season training but i found like 3 different schedules for each and i don't know which to follow or if i am suppose to follow all of them but at different times of the year. So if you could give me a link as to which one i should follow now and for how long and then list them in order of what to follow and approximate length to use them. This would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

This article will be a good place to start. Read it and study it and then ask more questions if you are still confused. Thanks and good luck!

Thank you for that link.

ok so that page had on the top links to off-season, pre-season, and in-season training. It also had a weekly guide on the botttom of the page.

I am guessing that i should follow what it says on the bottome of the page first because i am just starting out with training. But after that ends i would start to follow the guides on the top of the page. Is this correct? and adapt to my specific needs as i go along.

You got it!

After you start training, feel free to come back and ask as many questions as you like. We are here to help.
